In this episode I am in conversation with Dr Kate Scarth, Professor of Applied Communication, Leadership and Culture at the University of Prince Edward Island and Chair of L. M. Montgomery Studies with the L. M. Montgomery Institute. We discuss the cinematic legacy of Anne of Green Gables and the tourism of Prince Edward Island resulting from the many film, TV and stage adaptations since the novel’s publication in 1908, including the 1985 mini series starring Megan Follows, the Netflix adaptation Anne with an E, and the anime adaptation Anne Shirley.
The L.M. Montgomery Institute’s 17th Biennial International Conference will take place from 24th to 28th June.
